Staff
Person-to-Person operates with a full-time staff that includes the Executive Director, Director of Volunteers, Director of Social Services, Director of Development, Director of Finance and Administration, an Office Manager and several Caseworkers. In addition, a part-time staff of six provides support and assistance.

Ceci Maher, LMSW – Executive Director
Ceci Maher joined Person-to-Person in 2005 and oversees all functions of Person-to-Person. A native of Stamford, Connecticut, Maher served as Executive Director of Horizons National Student Enrichment Program for 5 years. Prior to her tenure at Horizons she was a clinical social worker at Four Winds Psychiatric Hospital working with children and youth. She is a graduate of University of Massachusetts and Columbia University School of Social Work. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker with experience in leadership, long range planning, program development and evaluation and fundraising.

Julie Pearson, MBA – Assistant Executive Director; Director of Finance and Administration
Julie Pearson oversees the Finance, Accounting, Human Resources and Facilities functions for Person-to-Person. She has extensive experience in building, redesigning and maintaining the financial and administrative infrastructure of small business and has held director level positions in the private sector, most recently with a hedge fund. Julie is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and received her MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.

Janet King – Director of Volunteers
Janet King is responsible for the recruitment, training and supervision of the more than 250 volunteers serving at Person-to-Person each week. To ensure the efficient running of the agency, she coordinates volunteer schedules, conducts training and liaises with the community to attract new volunteers. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Janet was Director of Member Services at Western Athletic Clubs in San Francisco and worked in New York with Esprit de Corp and Brooks Brothers. She has a background in employee training and morale, customer service, retail, marketing, special events and interior design. Janet is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in business administration and marketing.

Marina Thomas, MA, LPC –  Director of Social Services
Marina Thomas supervises the casework staff and oversees the implementation and success of Person-to-Person’s Emergency Assistance and Campership programs. She is a Licensed and Nationally Certified Professional Counselor. Marina has a strong background in program development and management and has extensive counseling experience working with individuals and families. She received her BA from Dickinson College and her MA from Fairfield University.

Diane Reese Tucker, J. D. – Director of Development
Diane Reese Tucker is responsible for developing and implementing Person-to-Person’s fundraising initiatives. She was formerly Development Director at another nonprofit and has been engaged in fundraising and development activities for charitable and other not-for-profit organizations as a board member, officer and volunteer throughout her career. She has an undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University and a J.D. degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law.

Casework Staff
Person-to-Person’s casework model uses the team approach. The staff works together under the guidance of the Director of Social Services. The paid staff includes 6 bilingual caseworkers.  Three caseworkers are Master’s lever social workers and one is a Master’s lever Licensed Professional Counselor, while the volunteer staff includes a caseworker with more than 20 years’ experience at the agency, and a caseworker with a Master’s degree in psychology.   The casework team brings extensive professional experience and collaborative energy to serving the immediate and long-term needs of Emergency Assistance clients.
