Donate Food

Our Emergency Food Pantry provides groceries for clients to prepare three meals a day for seven days.

The majority of the food distributed to clients is donated to P2P during the course of the year. Our clients also benefit from annual food drives – such as the High Holy Days Food Drive organized by area synagogues and temples and the Postal Food Drive organized by the Darien Letter Carriers, and other drives at local schools, houses of worship and businesses

Donations can be made Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
and Saturday’s 9:00 a.m. – noon during the SCHOOL YEAR ONLY.

Donate Clothing

Our Clothing Center is a free “store” where clients can shop every thirty days for shoes, clothing, outerwear, linens and small household goods.

All items are gently used and donated by people throughout Lower Fairfield County. The clothing made available to our clients is seasonally appropriate, clean and in good condition.

Donations can be made Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
and Saturday’s 9:00 a.m. – noon during the SCHOOL YEAR ONLY.

Donate In-Kind

We always need clothes for babies and children, plus-size clothing, linens, blankets, towels, dishes, glassware, silverware, pots and pans and small appliances (e.g., coffee makers, toasters and microwaves). Donations of children’s books in any language (especially English and Spanish) and stuffed animals in good condition are also appreciated. We ask that that you donate only clean, gently-used seasonal clothing and household items.

If you wish to donate furniture please contact the Furniture Program Coordinator at

203-621-0700.

Please bring your donations in large shopping bags with handles, which we give to our clients so they may take items home, and on hangers when possible.

We do not accept sporting equipment, bicycles, strollers, high chairs or similar items. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY OF THESE ITEMS AT P2P – because the time required for our volunteers to dispose of these items takes them away from the necessary and important work of assisting the people who come to us for help.

Please do not leave donations when the office is closed – items left at other times are exposed to the elements and we are often forced to discard these donations.
