Person-to-Person is offering area High School students the opportunity to volunteer at the agency’s Norwalk location (76 South Main Street).
Weekday Volunteers – Beginning in December, volunteer HS students will be assisting in the Food Pantry on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3 pm to 4 pm. Four students are needed for each afternoon shift. Weekly sign-ups will be accepted via email on a first-come/first-served basis.
Saturday Volunteers – Beginning on January 24, 2015, volunteer HS students will run Reception and the Food Pantry one Saturday per month from 9 am to 1 pm. Ten students are needed for each Saturday shift. Weekly sign-ups will be accepted via email on a first-come/first-served basis.
All students will meet with the Norwalk Site Manager prior to their first shift(s). Saturday volunteers will be trained and, during their shift(s), supervised by an adult volunteer.
High School students may sign-up for a single shift or multiple shifts. Come by yourself or bring a friend.
Help us help others by helping our clients shop for groceries, stocking the pantry shelves, greeting our clients and scheduling client appointments.
