The National Charity League (NCL) of Westport, a group of mothers and daughters who come together in a commitment to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences, recently collected backpacks to share with P2P clients.
Each participating daughter, grades 7th thru 12th, was assigned a particular school supply and asked to bring a new backpack to their meeting over tea.
They gathered at P2P’s Darien site to assemble the more than 50 backpacks with the school supplies packed inside. The backpacks also had inspirational quotes attached to them.
