In response to the COVID-19 situation, we are committed to continuing to provide essential services to the most vulnerable in our community. As the situation unfolds, we will keep this page updated with information about our response.

6.18.2020 Clothing donations are currently on hold until July 6th to allow us to process the overwhelming amount of donations received. Please hold your items, as detailed below, and bring them to us on July 6th or later. Thank you!

5.28.2020 We will resume accepting clothing donations on June 1st. Donations can be dropped off at our Darien location at 1864 Post Road, Monday-Friday between 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. We are currently accepting spring and summer clothing and shoes, clean and in good condition. Please sort clothing by gender and size and place in bags.

5.19.2020 The OPUS Balloons for Families campaign has launched, with a challenge match! In this time of crisis, four Darien and Rowayton families have joined together to make sure area families, and their children, have what they need to get through these tough times. Read more about the OPUS Balloons for Families campaign and get involved here.

5.16.2020 Our first drive-thru, contactless food drive was held at our Darien location. A steady stream of close to 350 cars donated 9,400 pounds of food. This is enough groceries to provide 75 families three meals a day for a week, and will help us continue to meet the need.

4.24.2020 Responding to the need to increase our capacity to serve Stamford residents, we will shift our food pantry services to operate out of two partner locations, and add an additional day of operations. These changes will permit us to have longer distribution hours, and allow for safe social distancing. Beginning Monday, April 27th, we will be providing food assistance at the following locations:

    • Yerwood Center (gym) 90 Fairfield Avenue: Mondays and Tuesdays from 10 AM – 2 PM
    • DOMUS (back parking lot/lobby) 83 Lockwood Avenue: Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 AM – 2 PM.

These hours are being supplemented by home delivery to anyone requesting it.  Those in need of services can call (203)655-0048. See schedule here

4.20.2020 To provide additional operational support to our team, P2P has hired three part-time, temporary site associates. These positions will assist our staff and volunteers at our three locations in Darien, Norwalk, and Stamford, and allow us to continue to meet the increasing need for food and financial assistance as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.
