In December, NBC Sports Group took on the unique role of adopting “Phil the Truck” – our Stamford Mobile Food Pantry
During the first week of December, our mobile food pantry was powered by support and volunteers from NBC Sports Group, headquartered in Stamford. NBC employees spent the week on the truck, working in various capacities while helping P2P clients shop.
500 families shop for fresh, nutritious groceries on the mobile pantry every month.
Being based in Stamford, NBC employees felt a strong connection to the community, as the truck visited our partner sites throughout the city. Volunteers appreciated the opportunity to connect with clients and felt the rewards of giving back directly to local residents and neighborhoods.
