Not only did they get their turkeys, but Person to Person also passed out Thanksgiving dinner ingredients carrots, onions and potatoes to families ahead of the holiday.
The nonprofit got 200 extra turkeys this year to pass out in their three food pantries in Fairfield County.Stamford resident Gwendolyn Ponce de Leon said she wouldn’t be able to have a Thanksgiving meal on the table if it wasn’t for the food she got from Person to Person.
“Right now, times are really, really tough. My work has been really slow, so I really, really needed this,” said Ponce de Leon. “And I appreciate everyone at Person to Person and the people who donated.”
