(From Stamford Downtown Press Release, November 16, 2021)

Stamford Downtown will once again partner with Grade A ShopRite and Person to Person (P2P) to donate meals to 500 Stamford families in need of help this holiday season.

In keeping with the holiday spirit, Stamford Downtown will be donating five hundred $50 ShopRite gift cards (total $25,000) to pre-registered families identified by Person to Person. This initiative is part of the Stamford Downtown Parade Spectacular Park Party on November 21 in Mill River Park.

“Stamford Downtown is proud to be able to donate meals once again to Stamford families facing food insecurity and expand the Thanksgiving spirit from the parade grounds into hundreds of homes. If there’s a silver lining to the COVID pandemic, it’s the new programs and partnerships like this that continue beyond our time of crisis to benefit the entire community,” said David Kooris, President of Stamford Downtown Special Services District.

“Person to Person loves being part of the Stamford community. We would like to thank Stamford Downtown for including P2P in this wonderful community event and as a parade partner for the second year in a row.
