DARIEN: 1864 Post Road

Darien is P2P's HQ, so offers a full range of volunteer options from helping in the office, sorting clothes in clothing center, supporting our food pantry, to working in our Unity Garden. Current opportunities include:
  • Clothing Center volunteers to sort and organize by size and gender
  • Reception volunteers (Spanish speaking encouraged)
  • Afternoon Phone Message Retriever (Remote)
  • Pantry Pre-packers (produce and non-perishable)
  • "Unity Garden" volunteers to prep and maintain garden
  • Van Drivers to pick up donations from local retailers, including Target on Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:30am
  • Outdoor Greeter to direct clients for food, clothing and casework appointments weekdays, 11am to 1pm
  • Door2Door home delivery drivers including Saturdays
  • Door2Door home delivery volunteers who prepare daily routes
  • Farmers Market shoppers to collect produce for pantry
  • Supermarket Rescue to pick up food from Stop n Shop on Mondays/Wednesday/Fridays

P2P's Norwalk site is in the heart of South Norwalk, offering both food pantry and caseworker support to our clients. Volunteer opportunities include:
  • Reception Volunteers (Spanish Speaking encouraged)
  • Door2Door Home Delivery Drivers
  • Food Distribution at Norwalk Housing Authority
  • First Tuesday of the Month
  • Farmers Market shoppers to collect produce for pantry

P2P's Stamford warehouse is the hub of our food program, supporting two Stamford food pantries and local Door2Door home delivery program. Volunteer opportunities include:
  • Substitute Home Delivery Prep Volunteers
  • Pantry Pre-packers
  • Warehouse Food Sorter (Sort and store food deliveries. Prepare shelved inventory for next morning food pre-packers)
  • Door2Door Home Delivery Driver
  • Farmers Market Shoppers to collect produce for pantry
