At a festive fundraiser held at Dolce Norwalk, more than 230 people gathered for the benefit of Person-to-Person.

Stamford native Rebecca Wilson, who is a long-time P2P board member and past board president, captivated the guests with her personal life story, which included growing up in poverty and her educational achievements and professional accomplishments as an adult.

Keynote speaker Liz Murray, author of the bestselling memoir “Breaking Night” and subject of the original film “Homeless to Harvard,” spoke about how the personal acts of charity by caring strangers in her life, having a mentor and being awarded a scholarship changed the trajectory of her life.

The first-time event exceeded its goals across all measures thanks to the speakers and guests.
