XL Catlin has awarded an $8,000 grant to Person-to-Person which will be used for the agency’s Scholarship Program.
Person-to-Person is committed to supporting the educational aspirations of college students from low-income families. According to P2P Executive Director Ceci Maher, many of the students receiving scholarships are the first in their families to attend college. “The Scholarship Program offers a pathway out of poverty and supports a student’s journey toward self-sufficiency.” She also notes that 80% of P2P Scholars graduate college – a figure well above the national average of 26% for college students from low-income households.
“We truly appreciate the generous support of XL Catlin – from the employees who regularly volunteer at Person-to-Person to the Stamford Charity Committee that awarded this grant.”
