The Board of Directors of the Pitney Bowes Foundation awarded $22,500 to Person-to-Person in support of the P2P Campership Program this year.
A core program at P2P, Camperships are awarded to Stamford elementary school children receiving free or reduced-priced meals during the school year. This grant will fund a full summer of day camp for more than 37 children.
For children in the P2P Campership Program, summer is filled with engaging activities and academic enrichment – reading and field trips, sports and nature, computers and the arts, fitness and creativity, exploration and adventure; exciting experiences and new friendships that allow children to see the world in a whole new way.
“The Campership Program positively impacts the entire family,” says P2P Executive Director Ceci Maher, “providing enrichment that strengthens a child’s academic performance and maintaining a family’s financial stability by enabling parents to work during the summer months. We are grateful to the Pitney Bowes Foundation for their continued support of the Campership Program.”
