Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon – April 5, 2019
During National Volunteer Week in April, we celebrated the power of individuals who choose to dedicate their time, talent, and resources to make a difference in their communities. We kicked it off by celebrating our incredible volunteers at a luncheon on April 5th. These folks are the heart and soul of Person-to-Person. In 2018, we were supported by over 4,200 volunteers who served more than 70,000 hours. With their help, last year we were able to serve 24,000 individuals, give out 53,000 bags of clothing, and provide food for 993,637 nutritious meals. Over 110 volunteers, employees, and Board members attended the event. This year, we were excited to introduce the Person-to-Person Volunteer Hero Award , given to volunteers who have shown a dedication to service and a commitment to helping P2P create stable families and stronger communities. We are also grateful for the service of our Board of Directors, several of whom were in attendance to share their appreciation for our volunteers. Thanks a million!
Congratulations to this year’s P2P Volunteer Heroes!
