Greenwich’s Stanwich Club is Site for Golf Fundraiser on Thursday, June 3, 2021

Press Release: Darien, CT (April 19, 2021) – Person-to-Person (P2P) will hold its inaugural golf outing on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the prestigious Stanwich Club in Greenwich, CT. Funds raised through this event will support P2P’s mission to provide individuals and families in lower Fairfield County with essential resources to help them overcome daily challenges and put them on a path toward economic stability.

This year’s golf outing was originally slated for 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic. While the outing may have been postponed, P2P has been open and operational throughout the pandemic, providing more food and more emergency financial assistance than in any other 12-month period in its more than 50-year history. To put it into context, the P2P food program distributed 71% more groceries in the 12 months after the pandemic started: that is enough groceries for more than TWO MILLION MEALS or roughly 5,800 meals a day.

P2P Golf Outing Co-chairs Tracey Riccardi and Todd Lindvall

Tracey Riccardi, the event co-chair, and her husband Mike Riccardi, CEO of Tudor and P2P Board President, are both active members of the P2P community, and dedicated to supporting our community during this unprecedented crisis. “P2P plays a vital and lifesaving role for thousands of families in our local community,” shared Tracey and Mike. “This has never been truer than during the current crisis. Please join us at Stanwich to support P2P and our community. Your support is needed now, more than ever.”

Participation in the golf outing is open to all, with a range of sponsorship opportunities as well as foursome and individual play options; costs range from $1,000 to $15,000. The outing features a round of golf (assigned tee times) with tournament scoring, food and beverage throughout the day and access to all amenities including golf carts, caddies, the practice range and putting green.

“I am excited to help plan this event for P2P to raise awareness and much needed funds for our community,“ said fellow co-chair Todd Lindvall, General Manager of Marriott Stamford Downtown and Residence Inn by Marriott. “This outing will be a great way to support an amazing organization while playing at a great course.” Additional members of the event committee include Alexandra Bookbinder, Jayne Bowtell, Kim Brown, Allison Gagliardi, Nicole Intile, Christina Johnson-Wolff, Jen Lia, Tina Mazzullo, Susan Pica, Nicole Rodden, Lauren Spence and Virgil Williams.

P2P, in collaboration with The Stanwich Club, will follow all State of Connecticut department of health COVID-19 guidelines to ensure the safety of all participants.
