The new Stamford location, donated by Rubenstein Partners, created a great space for the coat giveaway.

Person to Person held its annual ‘Keep Our Community Warm 2022’ Coat Giveaway, sponsored by Beiersdorf USA, at a new location in Stamford this year. For two days our dedicated team of more than 130 volunteers and staff turned the ground floor atrium of 232 Harbor Drive into a beautiful showroom of coats!

1,393 coats were given away to more than 500 families in two days.  An event like this can’t happen without a lot of behind the scenes work. Thank you to event sponsor Beiersdorf, Inc., Rubenstein Partners who donated the space on Harbor Drive, all of our corporate and community partners who organized coat drives, to Old Navy stores in Norwalk and Fairfield who provided clothing racks for the giveaway and to the volunteers who gave their time assisting clients during the event.

Old Navy stores in Norwalk and Fairfield provided clothing racks for the giveaway.

In addition to coat collections and volunteering at the coat giveaway, there were many other coat related contributions. Brown Harris Stevens realtor, Robyn Kammerer’s client donated $2,500 to purchase kids coats at the Old Navy store in Norwalk.  P2P clients were invited to shop during their 50% off sale which essentially doubled the number of kids coats purchased. Every year of the P2P Coat Drive, at no charge, Frank Policastro of Crescent Cleaners in Stamford dry cleans Kimberly Tapscott’s collection of coats. Rubenstein Partners who donated the Stamford space for the coat giveaway is currently running a food drive for P2P in other office buildings that are a part of Shippan Landing complex.

Thank you again to all of the businesses, organizations and people who organized coat drives and/or volunteered during the coat giveaway.
