We are thrilled to participate in the Light the World Giving Machine initiative, running from November 25 to December 15, at the Darien Sport Shop, located at 1127 Boston Post Road in Darien. Sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, this unique program turns traditional vending machines into opportunities for charitable giving.
At the Giving Machine, donors can select from items that directly support P2P’s mission:
- Holiday Toy: Bring joy to a child this holiday season with a new toy. ($20)
- Children’s Coat: Keep a child warm this winter with a new coat. ($40)
- Campership: Give a child the opportunity to attend a week of summer camp. ($150)
- Fresh Produce: Provide a week’s worth of carrots, potatoes, and onions for a family of four. ($50)
- Infant Car Seat/Diapers: Assist new parents with essentials needed to leave the hospital. ($100)
The Giving Machine is part of a global effort with over 100 locations worldwide, offering an innovative way to spread kindness during the holidays. With all operational expenses covered by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 100% of donations go directly to participating nonprofits like P2P.
