Person to Person (P2P) is proud to announce a new partnership with Optimus Health Care to expand access to nutritious food for families in need. Beginning Friday, May 1, Person to Person’s Mobile Food Pantry will serve the community weekly at Optimus Health Care, located at 805 Atlantic Street.
his collaboration brings critical food resources directly to individuals and families receiving care in Stamford, helping reduce barriers to access and supporting overall community health and well-being.
Mobile Food Pantry Schedule:
• Fridays | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (May 1 through June 26)
• Tuesdays (afternoons) during July and August
“Our partnership with Optimus Health allows us to meet people where they are and respond to growing needs in our community,” said Greg Dobbs, Senior Site Director/Stamford Site and Food Manager at Person to Person. “By bringing our Mobile Food Pantry directly to a trusted healthcare location, we are making it easier for families to access fresh, nutritious food with dignity and consistency.”
Person to Person is one of the largest providers of food and emergency assistance in lower Fairfield County, serving more than 25,000 individuals annually and distributing the equivalent of over 2.4 million meals each year. Through a network of food pantries, mobile food programs, and home delivery services, P2P works to ensure that individuals and families have reliable access to healthy groceries.
In addition to food assistance, Person to Person provides a holistic, “wraparound” approach to addressing food insecurity—offering clothing, emergency financial assistance for rent and utilities, and caseworker support to help clients move toward long-term stability. This integrated model recognizes that food insecurity is often closely tied to broader economic challenges such as housing costs, healthcare access, and employment instability.
How to Participate:
• Current Person to Person clients:
Call 203-655-0048 to schedule an appointment
• New clients:
Households can register on-site by providing:
o Photo ID for all household members age 18+ with proof of address
o School or medical records for household members under 18 with proof of address
Guests may shop once every twenty-eight (28) days and may choose the Person to Person location most convenient for them.
This initiative reflects a shared commitment between Person to Person and Optimus Health to address food insecurity and improve health outcomes across the Stamford community.
