This year’s Dr. King Scholarship was present to Mishal Qureshi, a senior at Fairfield University who is double-majoring in Accounting and Finance, with a minor in Accounting Analytics. In addition to earning Dean’s List Honors in every semester, Mishal founded the First Gen Stags organization for first-generation students, serves as VP of the Muslim Student Association and Secretary of the South Asian Student Association, and has devoted time to tutoring and mentoring others. At the Stamford MLK Celebration, where she was presented the award, Mishal gave a moving speech about finding her voice in a new country and the impact P2P has had on her ability to complete college.
