“I emigrated from Haiti over 30 years ago. There are more opportunities in the United States and I was fortunate to find a job as a long-haul tractor-trailer driver. I also drove a school bus and a taxi. Along the way I became a citizen.
“I use P2P services because my daughter died and I assumed responsibility for her four sons. P2P has helped with food and, because the boys grew so fast, clothing; also rent, when I needed to find a bigger place.
“The two older boys are working, so we help each other out. The youngest are still with me; they’re twins and both are enrolled in college.”
