Who We Serve
If you live in Lower Fairfield County (Stamford, Norwalk, Darien, New Canaan, Weston, Westport and Wilton), Person-to-Person has programs and services to assist you.
How We Help
Person-to-Person exists to help people in times of need, whether in the form of financial assistance, food and clothing, or household necessities.
Our Mission and Story
Person-to-Person provides individuals and families with assistance for basic needs to overcome daily challenges and access to resources to improve their lives.
Our Vision: Educated, financially-stable, and hunger-free homes for all.
P2P Theory of Change
P2P harnesses a committed, well-trained staff and strong board of directors to provide assistance within The Theory of Change. Volunteers, Clients and Donors all come together to form a stronger community for all.
Whether you need help with utilities and rent, food and clothing, or layettes for babies, Person-to-Person is here to help provide support for basic needs and the opportunity for stability.
From the outset, P2P began using their resources to help those in need while educating others about the impact of poverty and injustice.
P2P On Wheels
With P2P On Wheels, P2P is providing food and casework services to Stamford residents right in their neighborhoods.
P2P is committed to providing young people with the financial assistance to continue their undergraduate education. Many scholarship opportunities are available, and we encourage you to explore the ways P2P can assist you.
Through this program, Stamford school children attend local summer day camps where they can build life skills, make friends, have fun and for some, practice English. Camp offers peace of mind for working parents and reduced worry about childcare concerns while keeping children safe and engaged.
All children considered for Camperships live in low-income households in Stamford and are referred through their schools. Typically, P2P Camperships serve approximately 15% of the total number of children who qualify for free or reduced-price meals in school, a primary criterion for consideration.
Two programs help you and your family have a happy holiday.
- Dove Program: This program provides a full day of food at the holidays for approximately 800 seniors and families.
- Toy Store: A holiday “store” is available, with age-appropriate toys and books displayed so you can “shop” for a free gift and book for your child(ren) plus a family board game.
